Fitted Desk
Unit (D201)
A compact and versatile workspace
Basically, this is a bookcase installed between 2'6"
and 6'3" in height, with a desk and monitor stand at it's base (28" from
floor). The compact design accommodates all the features and storage space
needed for a PC workstation in a compact and attractive corner
installation.
The design can include rolling shelves for scanner
and keyboard, CD racks, compartment cupboards, tower unit cabinets,
concealed trunking and numerous other features.
The main structure is constructed from mdf or 8-10"
pine, however the desktop requires a more robust surface: we recommend 1
1/2" solid beech laminate worktop, although a range of flooring materials
are also suitable such as linoleum, tiles or parquet.

Shelves and shelf
units (SU301)
An essential feature of every civilised home.
Made to fit the exact width of your alcove or space,
shelves can be mounted high up so that furniture can be placed underneath,
or run from floor to ceiling.
Shelf heights and depths vary according to what they
are to contain. Although requirements vary, we suggest 4 main sizes: 14
(large books, files and binders), 9 (most novels), 8.25 (videos), and 5
(CDs). Shelf units work best visually if the shelf depth is consistent -
usually 8-10, but if they are exclusively for videos or novels, 6 will
suffice. To accommodate big books the design can incorporate a
taller/deeper shelf or two at the base.
Built in solid or veneered hardwood is a classy
although more expensive option, however traditional white painted designs
finished with matching skirting and coving are very effective.

High-Level Box
Shelves (BX401)
Brilliant use of otherwise unused spaces.
A simple box shelf wall-mounted between head-height
and 12-18 below the ceiling. Provides storage (very suitable for
ornaments or large books) in an otherwise unused space, fills a blank wall
and increases the perceived size of the room. Lighting can be used very
effectively, either above or below (even fairy lights!).

Book cases
(CAB501)
The full monty.
Traditional book-cases with shelves above and
cupboards below, very popular in public rooms like Sitting or Dining
rooms.
Built in solid hardwood they look superb,
although traditional white painted designs offer a more subtle alternative
and can be finished with matching skirting, and picture rails or coving to
match your room.

Window Seats
(WS01)
Great for south or west facing windows.
Window seats are surprisingly simple and inexpensive
to construct for the amount of pleasure they give. A box unit with a
hinged lid makes a self-contained seat with a storage trunk underneath. We
can supply upholstered seats, or simply wood.
In a bay window, a window seat can accommodate
seating for a dining area, or in a bedroom can be built beside or between
fitted wardrobes. Priced individually

Fitted wardrobes
(CAB701)
The biggest and best storage there is.
We use the 'Stanley' range of sliding door wardrobes
which come in a range of finishes, usually floor-to-ceiling mirror doors
with white or pine frames. Lighting can be incorporated internally or
externally.
Due to the 7' height of these doors, wardrobes can
accommodate twin skirt/shirt height rails, one above the other. A
practical solution (for a 6' wide wardrobe for example) is to have twin
3'6" wide skirt/shirt height rails, a stack of shelves in the centre, and
a full length rail occupying the remaining 18".
4' wardrobes from £450.00
6' wardrobes from
£650.00 |
